Digilent HS-1 JTAG Programming Cable
The JTAG-HS1 programming cable is a high-speed programming solution for Xilinx FPGAs.
The cable is compatible with all Xilinx tools, including iMPACT, Chipscope, and EDK, and capable of driving the JTAG/SPI bus at data rates up to 30Mbit/s
The cable is connected to the host PC with a Micro-AB USB2 connector.
On the board side, the programming module connects to the standard JTAG signals, TCK, TMS, TDI, TDO plus Ground and VIO
The VIO voltage is provided by the target board, and can range from 1.8V to 5V.
An adapter is provided which makes this cable compatible with all our products which have either a 6 pin 0.1" Header or a 14 pin 2mm pitch Xilinx style programming connector.
For use with the Xilinx Impact software, it is recommended to use version 13.2 or higher, as this version provides the necessary drivers by default (when the 'Install Cable Drivers' option is selected). For older versions of ISE, it is necessary to install the Digilent Adept drivers separately (see Technical Note below).
